Established in September of 2004, this core group commits to fulfill our mission statement: To be aware of situations where people need physical, emotional and spiritual support and to provide hope, care, and guidance for those needs.

Our mission is from Matthew 25: 25-26 "for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drilnk, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me."

We of HOPE -

  • Provide meals for those who are ill
  • Provided personal care
  • Visit those hospitalized and in nursing homes, facilitate senior buddies
  • Provide transportation: doctor, church, errands, etc.
  • Home maintenance, repairs, etc.
HOPE is always ready and willilng for you to participate, God Bless.

Trinity UMC has established a calling tree for prayer requests, concerns and praises. By making a call to the church office or Pastor Choi-816-518-7979. Anyone is able to make a request. The message is sent out by phone in the late afternoon to all those who have requested to be part of the Prayer Chain. In this way the request will be passed along with the same information given to everyone thus preventing misunderstandings and inaccurate information.

On Sundays, you may also sign the prayer request form in the pew attendance pad and leave in the offering plate as it is passed or given to the usher to be lifted up during the worship service.  Church office number is 316-321-4235.

This is an outreach ministry which provides comfort and peace for those suffering with illness, loss, and uncertainty in their lives. When a need is identified a visit is made to the person and a crocheted or knitted shawl is given. These are made and donated by members of the church and after having been blessed during a worship service they are given to those to show they are not alone - we care.

Donations Welcome

A collection point is located near downstairs entrance doors at Trinity for non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army. Canned meats, fruits, vegetables, pasta, peanut butter, crackers are always needed. They are delivered to the Salvation Army weekly.
