YOUTH LEAD WORSHIP!
The youth of Trinity and of First UMC's led worship 4 February at Trinity. We gathered in fellowship hall for inspiring music and a powerful word from God. Our very own, Aidan Mays (wearing tie in above photo), a middle school student in El Dorado, preached. Using the story of Joseph from the book of Genesis in The Bible, Aiden both encouraged us and challenged us. We were encouraged as we heard Joseph's story of being sold by his brothers into slavery. Mr. Mays reminded us that with God on our side, even when we are underdogs and in the pit, God will help us out. That is exactly what God did with Joseph! We cannot doubt the power of God. Aidan challenged us too, though. He told us, that once God lifts us up and gives us power, we can't abuse our power. We need still to listen to God and let God guide us. Thank you to all the Trinity youth who helped lead the service: Emily Westfall, Addison Mays, Beth Westfall, Aaron Smith, and Aidan Mays. Your leadership blesses our congregation and the community! Thank you!
